Fitruvo

Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026

Fitruvo helps Shopify merchants publish product fit and preparation guides. This policy explains how Evelyn Wilson, the operator of Fitruvo, handles information when merchants use the app and shoppers view a guide.

Information we use

We store a merchant’s Shopify shop domain, installation status, app subscription details, guide content, product bindings, saved test cases, published versions, and the operational records needed to run the app. Shopify sessions can include authorized staff identifiers, names, email addresses, locale, and account-role flags supplied by Shopify. We encrypt Shopify access and refresh tokens in our database.

The app requests read-only product access to help merchants select products and configure guides. It does not request access to customer records or orders, and does not change product prices or inventory. Shopify processes subscription payments; Fitruvo does not receive or store payment card numbers.

Shopper answers stay in the browser

Answers entered into a storefront guide are processed in browser memory. Fitruvo does not send those answers to its servers, save them in cookies or browser storage, or use tracking pixels in the guide. Answers are cleared when the guide is removed or the page is closed. Test cases deliberately saved by a merchant in the app are separate from shopper answers; merchants should use fictional test values and avoid personal information in guide content.

How information is used and shared

We use merchant information to provide guides, verify app subscriptions, recover interrupted operations, protect access, and respond to support and privacy requests. Shopify and our hosting provider, DigitalOcean, process information needed to deliver these services. Hosting providers may process connection information, such as IP addresses, for service delivery and security. We do not sell personal information or use shopper answers for advertising or model training. Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law.

Retention and uninstalling

Merchant application data is retained while the app is installed. After a verified uninstall event is processed, we delete that shop’s active local records, guides, saved test cases, subscriptions, pending jobs, and stored Shopify sessions. Shopify controls cancellation of its app subscriptions and retention of its own billing records.

A technical webhook delivery identifier may be retained for up to 30 days to prevent duplicate processing, without the shop domain or its content. If backups are enabled, deleted data may remain in restricted backups until those backups expire, for a maximum of 14 days. Backup restoration procedures must reapply deletions before service resumes. Removing the app does not necessarily create a refund; Shopify’s billing rules and the applicable subscription terms govern charges and credits.

Security and international processing

We use HTTPS, encrypted stored tokens, verified Shopify webhooks, and shop-scoped access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries where Shopify, DigitalOcean, or the app operator provide services, which may differ from your country.

Your choices and requests

Merchants can edit their guides, export data where their plan supports it, and uninstall the app through Shopify. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights. Contact us at [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to verify a request. Shoppers should contact the merchant for requests about purchases or data held by the merchant; Fitruvo does not retain their guide answers.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy or app support, contact Evelyn Wilson at [email protected].
